1. Who Gives the Warranty

The warrantor is Interlock Roofing Ltd., 9969 River Way, Delta, BC V4G 1M8, Canada, the manufacturer of the roofing system. Interlock Metal Roofing (BC) Ltd. is the installing contractor, not the warrantor of the material.

2. What “Lifetime” Means

“Lifetime” means for as long as the original purchaser owns the home on which the roof was installed and remains the registered owner under the warranty. Coverage runs from the date of original installation.

3. Transfer

The warranty may be transferred one time only, to the first subsequent registered owner of the home. The subsequent owner receives coverage to 50 years from the original installation date. A transfer requires notice to the warrantor with proof of purchase within 60 days of the change of ownership and a transfer fee of $300. No further transfers are permitted.

4. What Is Covered

This is a limited warranty on the aluminum roofing material and its factory finish. It covers defects in the material that cause it to fail under normal conditions, as described in the warranty document. Wind resistance is warranted to 120 mph (193 km/h) when the roof is installed to manufacturer specification.

5. What Is Not Covered

This warranty covers the material only. It does not cover installation workmanship, which is warranted separately by Interlock Metal Roofing (BC) Ltd. under your contract with us. Exclusions in the full document include damage from severe weather and Acts of God; hail larger than 1.5 inches (38 mm); condensation; ice-damming; normal wear, including minor scratches and dents; damage caused by installation not in accordance with manufacturer specification; alterations, foot traffic, or equipment added after installation; and chemical or environmental exposure outside the stated conditions. 6. What the Warrantor Will Do

If a covered defect is confirmed, the warrantor will, at its option, supply replacement material or repair the affected material as set out in the warranty document. The warranty document describes any limits on the remedy and any costs the owner bears.

7. How to Register and Claim

Register the warranty within 60 days of installation using the registration form we supply, or request one from policies@interlockgroup.com. To make a claim, write to Guardian Warranty Claims, Interlock Roofing Ltd., 9969 River Way, Delta, BC V4G 1M8, Canada, or email policies@interlockgroup.com, with your registration number, the installation date, a description and photographs of the problem, and your contact details. The warrantor may inspect the roof before deciding the claim. There is no informal dispute settlement mechanism; disputes are handled as set out in the warranty document and, for claims against Interlock Metal Roofing (BC) Ltd., in our Terms of Service.

8. The Workmanship Warranty Is Ours, Not the Manufacturer’s

Two separate promises cover your roof. The material and its finish are warranted by the manufacturer, on the terms above. The installation is warranted by Interlock Metal Roofing (BC) Ltd. in writing, in your contract, and that is the warranty to read if water gets in around a detail rather than through a panel.

9. Your Legal Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights under the laws of British Columbia and Canada, and nothing in this warranty limits a right that cannot be excluded by contract.
